This policy explains how Plemmo handles personal data. By "personal data" we mean information that identifies you or could be linked to you, such as your name, contact details and business information.

1. Who we are

"Plemmo" is a trading name used jointly by PLEMMO SERVICES LTD (Company No. 17076776) and Digitease Business Solutions Ltd (Company No. 15196464), both registered in England & Wales at 133 Soho Hill, Hockley, Birmingham B19 1AT, United Kingdom.

Depending on the service you request, one or both companies act as the data controller for your personal data. Both companies are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):

2. Personal data we collect

We collect data you give us and data collected automatically when you use our website:

  • Enquiry & quote details — your name, business name, phone number, email address, the service you're interested in and any message or business information you provide through our forms.
  • Referral details — if you refer a business, your name and email and the referred business's name and contact details. Please only share another person's details where you are entitled to do so.
  • Correspondence — records of your communications with us by email, phone or web form.
  • Technical & usage data — IP address, browser/device type and how you interact with the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).

3. How and why we use your data (lawful bases)

Under the UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for using your personal data. We rely on the following:

4. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary:

  • Selected third-party providers and partners — where you ask us to introduce you (for example payment, EPOS, signage, energy/connectivity or funding partners), we pass your enquiry details to relevant providers so they can contact you or progress your request.
  • Service providers (processors) — including our website form-handling provider (FormSubmit) and hosting and email providers, who process data on our instructions.
  • Professional advisers and authorities — where required by law, regulation or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Providers you are introduced to are usually independent data controllers for the data they receive — please refer to their own privacy notices.

5. International transfers

We aim to keep personal data within the UK or European Economic Area. Where a provider processes data outside these areas, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses).

6. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above and to meet legal, accounting and reporting requirements. Enquiry data we do not progress is typically held for a limited period and then deleted or anonymised. Where you become a customer of a provider, records may be kept for longer to meet legal obligations.

7. Your rights

Subject to certain conditions, you have the right to: be informed; access a copy of your data; have inaccurate data corrected; have data erased; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. You also have the right not to be subject to solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

To exercise any of these rights, contact hello@plemmo.co.uk. We will respond within one month. We will not charge a fee unless your request is clearly unfounded or excessive.

Right to complain to the ICO. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, by calling 0303 123 1113, or by writing to the ICO, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF. We'd appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.

8. Cookies

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as completely secure, but we take steps to keep your data safe and limit access to those who need it.
